language learned rds or acquired? The ability to speak a foreign language fluently is difficult, says Stephen D. His work contributed to one of the best exponents of the theory. Describe how languages are learned in chapter 4: The role of languages and second language learning. In order to develop habits, students are modeled, practiced, reinforced, and taught through imitation. The 40s to 70s were marked by influence over teaching in North America. In our classroom, audiolingual teaching and memorization practices were emphasized.
The learning of a new language often takes several steps: Play with new sounds, read new word structures, and speak in different inflections over time. Even so, you may be better off if you come into contact with other languages besides your own, even unintentionally.

Learning another language. If you learn the language(s) your students speak, they will be thrilled to hear you try it with them. I learned how to say "good morning" in Somali and had to practice for an hour before I felt comfortable saying it. When I did I was rewarded with the big grins of students as they entered the room. They were excited to teach me other phrases as well, and we discussed how much English they had learned since they arrived in the country. They were very proud to think of how much progress they'd made. 2b1af7f3a8
